Description

This skate park has been locked up and rusting for years after a baby crawled on a metal ramp on a hot day and the mother sued. And since Jacksonville skate park was made out of metal ramps (after the previous wooden park was destroyed by a hurricane) too, that skate park was completely removed. As of April 2024, you have to have military base access to go to the skate park in Camp Lejeune or drive 45 mins-hour to Atlantic Beach skate park or Skate Barn in Hampstead. There is also a really small skate park in River Bend (near New Bern) but it's hardly worth visiting. Since Greenville DIY and Wilmington DIY have also been destroyed, the best skate parks in the area currently are in Greenville, Wilmington, and Carolina Beach.
