Description

Free outdoor skatepark with concrete surface. Lit at night. Reed skatepark is in a public park (reed park), like so many phoenix area skateparks are. This park features two bowls: one, a small, tight capsule with a spine in the center... And the other, a humongously wide and long, 5' to 6' deep bowl with acres of flatbottom, hips and bowled corners, broken up by segments of flat banks and stairs. The locals explained that this big bowl was designed for bmx bikes; the huge flatbottom is so they can pedal up speed to launch out the other side (which does make sense). The bowl is remarkably fast, and can be surf-skated like a giant endless wave. Just watch out for the zillions of razor scooter kids here.
