Description

Free outdoor skatepark with concrete surface. It's probably one of tennessee's only free outdoor cement parks, but it is really screwed up. They actually had skater involvement in the planning. I spoke with the architect, and he had good intentions, of course no experience in skateparks. He mentioned he talked with tim pain for advice, etc. He told me the cement contractor got the job as sort of a scratch your back deal, he didn't know how to pour a park and did a really shitty job, it is lump city. They also painted everything, probably anti-graffiti measure. The park was like a $300,000 deal, what a rip-off!!! of course nashville needs a park, it's always funny how the smaller places get the parks.
